Protecting a Nation: DoD’s Move to the Cloud

For more than 30 years, HPE has partnered with DISA to secure DoD information.

For more than 30 years, HPE has partnered with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to deliver applications and IT services to secure Department of Defense (DoD) information. Through this partnership, DISA has been able to deliver robust infrastructure capabilities and services to military members, contractors, and civilians who use DISA networks to protect the nation. As the DoD transitions to the cloud and transforms to a hybrid infrastructure, DISA is undergoing a pilot program to integrate Amazon Web Services (AWS) into Forge.mil, a family of services provided to support the DoD’s technology development community. HPE supports the operation and maintenance of the AWS Pilot, providing system administration and troubleshooting services to users.

Delivering Dependability

As DISA works to improve the DoD’s ability to rapidly deliver dependable software, services, and systems in support of net-centric operations and warfare, Forge.mil is key. This enhancement to Forge.mil will allow DISA to offer new capabilities and services to DoD clients and help facilitate future cloud implementations within the DoD.
